Western RV Country acquired Coyote Creek Golf and RV Resort in central Alberta.

The Airdrie, Alberta, Canada-based dealer chain called the purchase strategic and said it represents a company milestone.

Western RV Country Managing Partner Brandon Urban said the acquisition is the dealership chain’s first RV park and campground purchase.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Coyote into the Western RV family,” Urban said. “This resort is one of the best-kept secrets in Alberta, and we see enormous potential in further improving the guest experience—both on the golf course and within the RV park.”

Urban said the property is five minutes from the Western RV Country dealership in Sundre, Alberta.

“Many of our customers already camp and golf at Coyote, so there are certainly natural synergies,” Urban said. “By acquiring the resort, we are able to provide exclusive opportunities to our customers to purchase the remaining lots for sale, and to rent seasonal sites in the adjacent RV rental park.”

The RV park and campground will keep the longstanding Coyote Creek RV Resort name. The golf course will be rebranded as Coyote Golf Club.

“Here in Alberta, Canada, there is a shortage of campsites for the volume of RVs sold every year,” Urban said. “The more campsites we can acquire and control, the better for our customers today and for years to come.”

Western RV Country said it plans to enhance the resort while preserving the atmosphere that residents, members and guests have come to know.

Urban said, “We are looking forward to building on the strong foundation already established at this amazing property.”

Urban said upgrades for this year are already planned and started.

“Our investment into this community,” Urban said, “reflects our long-standing commitment to providing exceptional recreational opportunities to Albertans and visitors alike.”
