Camco has released an Eaz-Lift TR3 weight-distributing hitch line with sway control.

The hitches were developed to provide a straight spring bar product on the company’s Recurve sway control platform. It took Camco a year to design and develop the new hitch line, Camco Marketing Project Manager Noah Cronan said.

Hitches with a 2 5/16-inch hitch ball are available in kit sizes from 400 pounds to 1200 pounds. A two-inch ball kit is available in 400- and 600-pound sizes.

Consumers can use Eaz-Lift TR3 hitches with various trailer configurations without resetting the ball mount angle. The sway control is tunable to meet consumers’ desired tow settings and is not dependent on the tongue weight of the trailer to produce sway resistance, Cronan said.

The straight spring bar configuration provides versatility for hook bracket placement on the trailer frame. Cronan said this is critical in situations where tongue-mounted equipment such as propane tanks and battery boxes must be accommodated.

The TR3 will distribute the weight of a trailer across the axles of the tow vehicle, Camco literature said. The sway control can be turned off in dangerous or icy road conditions. The hitches can be installed on top-mount or bottom-mount coupler-style trailers. The brakes on the hitches are made of composite, are fully adjustable and have polymer hook-up pads for noise reduction.
