Ultra-Fab launched its standard Hub Drum Assembly last year and now is releasing a loaded version of the drum assembly.
Contrary to the standard hubs, which simply include hubs, Ultra-Fab’s loaded hubs are preloaded with inner and outer races, bearings, grease seals and grease packed in place.
Ultra-Fab Vice-President of Sales and Marketing Raymond Padgett said customers have asked Ultra-Fab to offer a loaded version since launching the hub.
“Dealers and distributors suggested that they could increase their sales and profits if we offered loaded hubs,” Padgett said. “Ultra-Fab listened and went to work to provide the loaded versions.”
Padgett said the loaded hubs will save technicians time by being already put together. The hubs include cone wheel nuts, a hub cap and cotter pin to complete installation. The hubs’ fully incorporated casting and machining maximizes the brake’s effectiveness.
“The purpose of purchasing them loaded is to save time,” Padgett said, “and to ensure you have all components when you go to do the job.”
The loaded hubs are available in 4 configurations;
- 3,500-pound capacity, 5-inch x 4.5-inch, half-inch-20, for 10-inch brake;
- 6,000-pound capacity, 6-inch x 5.5-inch, half-inch-20, for 12-inch brake;
- 7,000-pound capacity, 8-inch x 6.5-inch, half-inch-20, for 12-inch brake;
- 7,000-pound capacity, 8-inch x 6.5-inch, 9/16-inch-18, for 12-inch brake.
