General RV Considers N.C. Dealership

General RV is offering to buy land in Rowan County, North Carolina, to build a new dealership.

The dealership group has 14 stores in Florida, Illinois, Michigan Ohio, Utah, Virginia and Pennsylvania.

WBTV-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina, reported General RV offered Rowan County officials $2.9 million for a 40-acre plot. The dealership told county commissioners it would invest $25 million over three years on the facility and service center.

General RV would create 150 jobs in the next three years, with an annual salary of $65,000.

A public hearing will be held tonight before county commissioners vote on the proposal.
