Girl Camper Magazine, a new print publication that launched in July, has received an Honorable Mention from the Folio: Eddie and Ozzie Awards, an awards program in the publishing community.
The Ozzie Awards honors design excellence in both digital and print categories. Girl Camper Magazine won this distinguished recognition under the “New Magazine – Design Category.”
“We’re so honored to be recognized by our peers at such an early stage in Girl Camper Magazine,” said Janine Pettit, editor-in-chief of Girl Camper Magazine. “When we decided to launch a magazine that would inspire, inform and lead women in the lifestyle that so many of us love, we knew that the design was as important as the editorial. We wanted the publication to be a visual road trip from the comfort of one’s favorite reading chair. Girl Campers love comfort and beauty. They sleep on high thread count sheets, recline around the campfire in top of the line star gazing chairs and fill their RV’s with treasures that make it feel more like a second home than a rolling place to sleep at night.”
Girl Camper Magazine’s Art Director is Alana Garrett Hogg.
“I searched for an Art Director that would be able to compose the pages of our magazine in the same way the executive editor manages the content. I found that in Alana,” Pettit said. “I kept seeing her work in my favorite magazines and was thrilled when she accepted the position. It’s been a pleasure working with her, and with each issue we continue to fine tune our vision for Girl Camper Magazine.”
