Numerous state governors recorded a video for the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable (ORR), supporting ORR’s 25 in 2025 campaign. The campaign’s goal is to establish another state-level office of outdoor recreation, which would be the 25th in the country, by the end of 2025.

ORR said the video showed the bipartisan momentum behind outdoor recreation’s success. All 12 governors’ videos are available here.

“The featured governors have already taken bold steps to create and support these offices,” ORR said, “and their remarks highlight the importance of outdoor recreation to their states’ economies, public health and community well-being.”

Governors participating include leaders from Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Maine, Washington and Wyoming. ORR will accept more governors’ videos throughout the year.

ORR President Jessica Wahl Turner said, “Outdoor recreation is not a partisan issue—it is an American value. This video is testament to the visionary leadership of states that have recognized the transformative power of the outdoors by creating offices of outdoor recreation. Through their commitment, we are one step closer to meeting our goal of 25 state outdoor recreation offices by 2025, ensuring that the outdoor economy continues to grow and that more Americans have access to the benefits of time outside.”

The video release occurs during Great Outdoors Month
