WhereSafe, a consumer safety and vehicle protection service, has entered into an agreement with the Tint World franchise. Tint World, an automotive styling and window tinting franchise, will offer WhereSafe to its customers in all franchise locations.

“We’ve seen the market become more aware of and relaxed with the idea of consumer GPS solutions,” Tint World CEO Charles Bonfiglio said. “Once we recognized the demand was there, we did our due diligence, and are convinced that with WhereSafe, we have found the best asset protection and family safety GPS technology to offer our customers.”

WhereSafe is a simplified and affordable version of Trackem, a well-known commercial fleet GPS system. Functioning as a GPS-powered, theft protection system, it consists of GPS tracking hardware and a smartphone app. Once downloaded, the system is ready to use. Hardware options are portable or plug-and-play and are ultra-durable for extreme weather and heavy use. Consumers can use WhereSafe to track RVs, trailers, cars, boats, ATVs, motorcycles, equipment, loved ones and more.

“WhereSafe is the culmination of 16 years in market research and experience,” WhereSafe President Vince Poloniato said. “Our goal is to provide families with the ability to ‘Protect your Passions’ using GPS technology. We know that today, consumers are more comfortable with GPS, they understand it better and see the potential to help safeguard what is important to them.”

The GPS technology used leverages real-time tracking. WhereSafe’s app will notify consumers if something happens to an asset being tracked. Notifications can alert consumers if a vehicle exceeds a certain speed limit, if a car leaves home at night or if a loved one has left a predefined area.

“We want users to put their phones down and not waste any more precious time watching a screen,” Poloniato said. “Our tool provides the simplicity of use and the freedom to allow the system to work in the background only notifying you when a predetermined event actually happens,” he adds.

The services can be rented or purchased in one-year bundles or no-contract plans. The app can be downloaded for either Apple or Android devices. For more information about WhereSafe, click here.
