Increased RV sales accompanied summer sun rays and adventures, according to J.D. Power’s Market Insights Recreational Vehicle Quarter Two report.
The report concluded that late spring market conditions were encouraging. The company said consumer demand remains despite finance and equity headwinds.
Travel trailer values averaged 6.1% higher in May-June compared with March-April. Travel trailer values were 4.5% lower in the first two quarters of 2024 compared with the same period in 2023.
Fifth wheel values averaged 4.1% higher in May-June compared with March-April. Fifth wheel values were 1.4% higher year-over-year.
Type A motorhome values averaged 3.2% higher in May-June compared with March-April. Type A values were 5.5% lower compared with the same period in 2023.
Type C motorhome values averaged 3.6% higher in May-June compared with March-April. The segment’s values were 7.6% lower year-over-year.
Camping trailer values were 7.8% higher in May-June compared with March-April. Camping trailer values were 18.6% lower year-over-year.
Truck camper values averaged 4.6% higher in May-June compared with March-April. The segment’s values were 10.8% lower compared with the same 2023 period.
