Atlanta-based Mercedes-Benz (MB) Vans USA has appointed Nicolette Lambrechts as the company’s vice president and managing director of sales and marketing, effective May 1.

Lambrechts joined the U.S. MB Vans team in 2019 as the division’s general manager of sales. In her new role, Lambrechts will lead all U.S.-based MB van business operations, including sales, marketing, parts and services.

“We are very pleased that Nicolette Lambrechts will take over the position as head of sales and marketing of Mercedes-Benz Vans USA,” said Marcus Breitschwerdt, executive VP of Mercedes-Benz AG and head of Mercedes-Benz Vans. “The United States is the largest market for our Sprinter vans after Germany. With her many years of international experience in the field of sales and marketing, we are confident she will further develop our van business.”

Lambrechts will oversee the Sprinters used in Type B and Type C motorhomes. The company stated her success in building a diverse sales team and implementing new business strategies cross the chain that enabled the team to achieve profitable U.S. sales growth.

“Lambrechts will start her new position with a great extent of understanding of the North American market, which will ensure a smooth transition,” the company stated. “Her experience and team mentality will help her succeed in establishing a strong relationship with dealers and continuing the growth path of Mercedes-Benz Vans in the United States.”

Lambrechts began her company career with MB South Africa, where she started as a graduate trainee in 2001 and eventually held the sector’s national sales manager and brand manager roles. Starting in 2014, she was promoted to South Africa’s van division managing director. She eventually took over the role as managing director of MB Vans in Canada.

She replaced Robert Veit in her new role.

“I would like to thank Robert Veit for an outstanding job overseeing the U.S. market,” Breitschwerdt said. “I am convinced that his wealth of experience and leadership skills will help to continue to drive our business ambition forward as managing director of Mercedes-Benz Vans UK.”
