Mission Critical Electronics (MCE), a power solutions company, hired John Kalbfleisch as Xantrex’s general manager and vice president and John Hoeft as MCE’s vice president of operations and IT.

Xantrex, an MCE brand focusing on AC power technology, hired Kalbfleisch in early December. Previously, he managed a die maintenance team at Siemens and a large manufacturing team at Celestica. He was in general management at Creo and Kodak, and a chief operating officer at Alpha Technologies.

Kalbfleisch is a business leader, the company stated, with experience in P&L management, manufacturing, global supply chain management, product development, mergers and acquisitions, and business transformation.

Kalbfleisch said the brand is well-known not only in the Vancouver area, but also across North America.

“I’m excited to be part of a market-leading team,” Kalbfleisch said. “Our organization is learning more and I’m excited about our brand and future. There are great opportunities with investing in a lot of devices over the next year and 18 months. A lot of exciting things happening.”

Being involved in the power solution industry for more than 10 years, Kalbfleisch said he tries to understand customer needs and makes sure the organization aligns with those needs. Talking with sales leaders, understanding customers, talking to operations and making sure Xantrex meets customer needs are top priorities.

“I try to help the team remove roadblocks to deliver better customer service and just get better at what we are doing,” he said. “I am collaborating with the exceptional team we have to improve our organization.”

In mid-November, Hoeft joined MCE. His previous experience includes industrial engineering, plant management and LEAN manufacturing at Northern Engraving. Hoeft also worked as senior operations manager at ATK Onalaska Operations and plant manager at the Trane Co. Most recently, Hoeft was the Advance Storage Products vice president of operations.

“I am really pleased to have John Hoeft joining the MCE team,” MCE CEO Kevin Moschetti said. “John’s experience and improvement-oriented mindset is the perfect fit for MCE as we continue to integrate our operations in order to deliver market leading solutions to our customers.”

Xantrex is working on future projects including connectivity between its existing devices and providing more information to the RV industry end-user. Updated charger products, solar and lithium offerings are in the works, Kalbfleisch said.

“It will help us be a one-stop-shop for AC/DC power solutions that we are excited to offer,” he said.
