Outdoor Expo will host its 66th annual RV and boat show next weekend, the first of its kind in Fort Wayne, Indiana, so far this year. In 2021, the city has not had any other larger shows and neither has most of the Midwest.
The upcoming event’s organizer David Marquart said, “All the boat shows and RV shows have been cancelled in Fort Wayne, South Bend, Indianapolis, parts of Illinois and Ohio, and all of Michigan.”
The All American Outdoor Expo will take place Feb. 26-28 at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
“We were very fortunate to have had the opportunity to adjust our dates and plan this show for Fort Wayne,” Marquart said. “We have expanded our plans, rented more space, and will host even more exhibitors and guests than before.”
Marquart said the show will now span 130,000-square-feet, including 50,000-square-feet dedicated to RVs, in order to allow exhibitors and attendees to spread out more. “As the only RV and boat show currently scheduled for the tri-state area in 2021, this Expo will give these important companies a safe opportunity to show the public their latest innovations for family recreation,” Marquart said.
As county COVID reports improve and Indiana’s governor lightens pandemic restrictions, Outdoor Expo is working with the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum to ensure a clean and safe event.
Randy Brown, the Memorial Coliseum’s executive vice president and general manager, said show management, exhibitors and venue staff are collaborating to ensure mask wearing, social distancing and frequent sanitizing. Brown said, “Everyone has worked together to provide a safe environment for guests to enjoy the activities in compliance with state health guidelines.”
Tickets are available at the Coliseum box office and online here.
