RVers from the U.S. and Canada came out to Quartzsite, Arizona, in record numbers for the 37th Annual Quartzsite Sports, Vacation & RV Show that concluded on Jan. 26. With the weather hovering in the low 70s most days, show organizers report show drew an estimated 125,000 to 145,000 attendees.
Progressive RV Insurance, the event’s naming sponsor, had numerous current and future customers lining up at their virtual reality area. Here, participants could test their driving skills in a virtual boat race and compare their times and scores against the others. Show organizers said it was a big attraction.
Next to Progressive, the platinum sponsor, Cummins Diesel introduced their new line of portable generators. Cummins arrived at the show with a truckload of portable generators ready for immediate sale and delivery.
Gold sponsors, Dometic Corp., Dish Network/CM Wireless and Newpowa Solar reported significant consumer interest and sales during the show. Dometic Corp. had two locations and a service bay to facilitate customer warranty and repair needs.
Silver sponsors Family RV/FMCA, High Desert Pure, Redlands Truck & RV Service, RV Country and Plasticover were pleased with the results of their participation in the sponsorship program in 2020, show organizers reported.
Ford Motor Co. purchased all remaining exhibit space on the midway exhibit area to showcase its lineup of diesel trucks.
