Redarc’s new Trailer Power Kit is an all-in-one power management solution.
The kit includes the BCDC Trailer S Charger, a Smart Battery Monitor and a dedicated Fuse Kit. The kit streamlines a dual-battery system setup.
Redarc’s Trailer Power Kit bundles essential components into a package that connects through a standard 7-pin trailer plug. According to the company, the kit can be used for outfitting numerous trailer styles.
Redarc Global President Peter Favilla said, “Our goal with the Trailer Power Kit is to take the guesswork out of charging trailer batteries on the road. By using the existing 7-pin power socket, this all-in-one kit delivers a simple, reliable way to keep trailer batteries charged while towing, with a plug-and-play design that makes setup easy for anyone.”
Key Trailer Power Kit features include simultaneous DC and solar charging via the BCDC Trailer S Charger. The charger includes Green Power Priority, drawing from solar-powered sources before drawing energy from a second alternator. The charger also protects the vehicle’s wiring through a limited 12-amp current input. The charger is compatible with 12V lead-acid, AGM, Gel, and standard or heated Lithium (LiFePO4) batteries.
The Smart Battery Monitor uses Bluetooth 5.1 technology to deliver real-time battery state of charge, remaining runtime and current flow. The information is visible through the RedVision app, maintaining connectivity up to 137 feet away from the vehicle.
