Registration is open for the Virtual RV Dealers Convention/Expo, a joint meeting of RVDA U.S. and RVDA of Canada. The live portion of the convention will be conducted Nov. 9-20, with the virtual exhibit hall and educational content available on demand through Jan. 31, 2021.

RVDA announced in August the move to a virtual convention. The event will be open to members and non-members and the gathering is expected to bring hundreds of attendees to learn, network and experience what lies ahead for the RV industry.

The RV Dealers Convention/Expo features six education tracks that address key areas of dealership operations. The tracks include dealer/GM, sales, fixed operations, F&I and digital marketing.

Author and business consultant Jay Baer will be the keynote speaker at the event. Baer will present “Coveted Customer Experience: How to Grow Your Business by Focusing on 3 Things Your Customers Truly Care About,” during the opening general session of the Virtual 2020 RV Dealers Convention/Expo.

Baer is a recent inductee to the Professional Speaker Hall of Fame and the Word of Mouth Marketing Hall of Fame, a best-selling author of six books and founder of five multi-million-dollar companies. The keynote presentation is sponsored by Wells Fargo Commercial Distribution Finance (CDF).

Registration is $249 for members and $349 for non-members, with discounted rates for groups of two or more.

Among the questions industry participants have, which RVDA said the convention will address, are:

  • Will you be able to handle the increased sales volume coming your way?
  • Will your service department be able to profitably and efficiently handle all the new business coming your way?
  • Will your F&I department be at the top of their game to maximize profitability in the back office?
  • Will you have the right products on the shelves of your parts and accessories store?
  • Will you have new policies and procedures in place to assure an enhanced employee training program that will fast-track the new employees you will have to hire next year?
  • What new social media outreach programs will you incorporate into your business plan?
  • In a post-Covid environment, what will your consumer show strategy be next year?
