The RV industry made an impact on Giving Tuesday, the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. The annual day of altruism is marked by individuals, nonprofits, small businesses and foundations giving back to charitable organizations and their communities. Several industry members participated in the global generosity movement.

Thor Industries

RV manufacturer Thor Industries encouraged donations to the National Forest Foundation (NFF), a nonprofit dedicated to addressing the challenges facing 193 million acres of national forests and grasslands. Thor Industries’ multi-year partnership with the NFF places aims to conserve public lands for the RVers’ and outdoor enthusiasts’ enjoyment. Donate to the NFF here.

Winnebago Industries

Winnebago Industries raised a record-breaking $1.2 million from employees, board members, and partners as part of their annual CommunityGo campaign. The annual CommunityGo campaign is part of a year-round program centered around team members giving time, talent, and treasure to support local and national non-profits, Winnebago said.

Lippert donated to Care Camps for Giving Tuesday. Lippert Director of Corporate and Community Impact Michilah Grimes said Care Camps is, “a non-profit that gives joy, hope, and the healing power of the outdoors to kids with cancer.” Learn more about Lippert’s donation drive for Care Camps here.

SylvanSport

SylvanSport, an adventure trailer, outdoor gear, and camping accessories supplier, teamed up with the Central & Western North Carolina Make-A-Wish Foundation to gift Go camping trailers to children with critical illnesses so they can explore the outdoors.

Taxa Outdoors

Taxa Outdoors, a travel trailer manufacturer, supported several different organizations for Giving Tuesday, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Black Outside, and the National Outdoor Leadership School. Learn more about Taxa’s charitable initiatives here.

Kampgrounds of America, Inc.

Kampgrounds of America, Inc., which has more than 500 locations across the U.S. and Canada, also encouraged donations to KOA Care Camps.

National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds

The National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) promoted donations to the ARVC Foundation. The organization supports parks affected by natural disasters. Donate to the foundation here.
