The RV/MH Hall of Fame will host its annual Induction Dinner for the Class of 2020 on Monday, August 3 at the Northern Indiana Event Center in Elkhart.

The organization confirmed its plans to host the dinner and opened registration for the event today. Click here to view more information and register for the induction dinner. The Induction Dinner celebration begins at 5:30 p.m. that evening with a cash bar cocktail party, followed by the dinner and induction ceremonies at 6:30 p.m.

Daryl Searer, RV/MH Hall of Fame President, announced the date and time for the induction dinner on Thursday. He said initial registration numbers indicate that this year’s dinner will be more popular than years past.

“I hope a record number of friends and colleagues of the inductees and industry members will join us in honoring these outstanding industry pioneers who have had a major impact on our professions and lives,” Searer said.

The museum area of the Hall of Fame has been open for more than a week now, welcoming an initially sparse crowd to tour the facilities and view classic RVs. Searer said he expects to see crowds return to normal size as the summer carries on and statewide restrictions become more lax.

Leading up to the August induction ceremony, the RV/MH Hall of Fame is seeking sponsorship for various other induction-related events.

“This event is truly a major industry affair. It not only honors the inductees who have attained a major milestone in their lives and careers, but it also provides an opportunity to network with industry leaders who normally attend the event,” Searer said.

Searer said the museum averages around 20,000 paid visitors per year, with the vast majority of them coming between April and October. Last year’s attendance climbed to nearly 22,000 visitors.

He said the Hall of Fame’s event center is almost fully booked out for the remainder of the year, with a few weekends available for rental.

“We’re in good shape for the rest of the year, and we think the museum will pick up pace as people want to get up and out of their homes,” Searer said.
