The RV/MH Hall of Fame will honor two induction classes in August.

In a letter from RV/MH Hall of Fame President Darryl Searer, the hall announced it would cancel the previously scheduled 2020 Class induction, slated for May 13. Instead, the 2021 Class and 2020 Class will be inducted Aug. 9 in Elkhart, Indiana.

Searer said the August date will avoid Civic Holiday, a national holiday in Canada, and allow for the two Canadian inductees’ friends and relatives to attend the event.

The 2021 Class had been slated to be inducted Aug. 2.

“We have thought long and hard to make this decision,” Searer said. “Taking into consideration that this a once in a lifetime achievement and honor for each of the Hall of Fame members, we feel obligated to make this first class and exciting for all.”

The cocktail party Aug. 9 will begin at 5 p.m., with dinner at 6 p.m. Inductee’s speeches will be limited to two minutes, Searer said.

“We have decided that the speaking order will be strictly alphabetical of all 20 inductees and will announce their class as they are introduced,” Searer said. “This provides a natural diversification.”
