RV Retailer acquired 52 stores in 52 weeks in 2021. After adding four retail locations in the first quarter of 2022, the nation’s second-largest dealership group made its first acquisitions of the second quarter.
RV Retailer acquired three locations, John’s RV and Airstream of South Carolina dealership in Lexington, South Carolina, and two locations operated by RV Outlet USA in Virginia and South Carolina.
With the deals, RV Retailer moves into Virginia for the first time, the 30th state in which RV Retailer operates. The two South Carolina stores give RV Retailer 10 locations in North and South Carolina and a total of 96 nationwide.
“We are excited to enter Virginia our 30th state and continue our rapid growth in the Carolinas with Airstream of South Carolina, John’s RV and RV Outlet USA,” company President and CEO Jon Ferrando said. “These are great RV markets to expand in. The dealerships have strong retail sales with over 3,500 RV sales annually.”
The new acquisitions will be incorporated into RV Retailer’s East Region, headed by East Region President Don Strollo.
“John’s RV and Airstream of South Carolina together have an excellent mix of premium brands,” Strollo said. “RV Outlet USA is a strong fifth wheel dealer, including being the No. 1 Montana dealer and top 3 dealer in the United States for Fuzion and Raptor.”
Overall, according to Statistical Surveys Inc. data, RV Outlet USA is the top-selling towable dealer in South Carolina and ranks second in towable sales in Virginia.

John’s RV and Airstream of South Carolina is on I-20 (Exit 51) less than 15 minutes from downtown Columbia.
RV Outlet USA has two convenient locations in Ringold/Danville, Virginia and North Myrtle Beach, South Carlina. The Virginia location is minutes away from the North Carolina border. RV Outlet USA has served the greater Virginia market from its Southern Virginia location for over 50 years. The North Myrtle Beach store is located minutes from the Atlantic Ocean and is close to numerous RV parks in the surrounding Surfside beach area.
