OEM and aftermarket suppliers Ranger Distribution Inc. (RDI) and Optimus Industries, LLC (OI) built a custom three-shower unit for nonprofit Hope Thru Soap. Hope Thru Soap travels Atlanta providing mobile showers, haircuts, food, clothing and toiletries to homeless and impoverished individuals. The custom-built shower more than doubles the number of people Hope Thru Soap now can serve.

RDI took on the project after hearing about Hope Thru Soap from one of its partners who serves on the nonprofit’s board.

“We have been able to see first-hand the amazing benefit this organization is delivering,” said Brent Driver, another RDI partner. “They were in need of a new shower trailer and I knew that Chuck Millslage was just starting OI.”

Millslage, OI’s president, built Hope Thru Soap’s first two-stall shower unit while working at his previous company.

“I was well aware of the great work they do,” Millslage said. “We worked with all our suppliers to get discounts and donations to put this truly custom-built unit together for them at the lowest price possible. We are proud to be part of this project.”

A donor group contributed toward the new Hope Thru Soap trailer cost and a truck to tow it.

“This has been a real team effort from a lot of people and we are very grateful for the support,” Hope Thru Soap founder Jason Winter said. “RDI and Optimus really have made a difference for us and the homeless friends we serve. These are people who truly need and appreciate the help.”
