Jaeger-Unitek Sealing Solutions promoted two to executive positions. The La Porte, Indiana-based company is a supplier of engineered rubber and plastic extrusions. The company serves the transportation, industrial and agricultural industries. Jaeger-Unitek Sealing Solutions’ technologies use unique rubber and compound formulations to create complex, application-specific solutions.
Christie Wester now serves as the company’s chief financial officer, and Tricia Sena now holds the position of marketing and communications manager.
“Both Christie and Tricia exhibit outstanding leadership skills and have transformed our finance and marketing functions,” Jaeger-Unitek President and CEO Kevin Casey said. “Additionally, both are recognized for their ability to generate innovative ideas, to lead organizational teams and to achieve significant results. They have been recognized as Northwest Indiana Influential Women Finalists and are again nominated for the upcoming 2020 Awards Banquet in September. We are thrilled to recognize Christie and Tricia, especially on the International Women’s Day.”
Wester graduated from Butler University and launched her career as an auditor at Ernst & Young, where she worked in both the Indianapolis and London, England, offices. She later returned to northwest Indiana, and in 2016 she was hired at Jaeger-Unitek as an accounting manager.
Sena graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and graphic design. She began her career as a graphic designer at the Northwest Indiana Times and later became a brand manager at Luke Family of Brands. Sena knew Wester before coming to Jaeger-Unitek in 2018. She was recruited to spearhead the company’s marketing duties, which had previously fallen to the company’s sales team. During her tenure at Jager-Unitek, Sena has helped launch Flip ‘N Seal to the RV market.
Sena said Casey has nurtured an environment that actively includes women in the decision-making process. She said there is not a day when you don’t want to come to work and see people.
