The 2019 Industry Profile, published by the RV Industry Association, provides a detailed look at RV production and shipment statistics, including historical comparisons of shipment date and unit dollar volume as well as production breakdowns by product type and shipment destination.

Key findings from the report include:

  • Indiana overwhelmingly continues to lead the country in RV production, manufacturing nearly 83 percent of all RVs in the United States and Canada.
  • Texas remains the top destination for RV shipments, receiving 10.3 percent of total RV wholesale shipments followed by California (8 percent), Florida (5.7 percent), Ohio, and Michigan (both at 4.4 percent).
  • Wholesale RV shipments finished at 406,000 units for the year with a retail value of $17.5 billion. Despite the 16 percent fall in wholesale shipments, 2019 still finished as the fourth-best year on comparable record for the RV industry.
  • Data focusing on Park Model RV shipments for 2019 as well as historical information back to 2010 is included in the report for the first time.

The report is available to members (login required). Copies are also available for purchase for non-members in the RV Industry Association online store.
