RVIA’s Regulatory & Safety Compliance (RSC) Seminar will take place July 26 at the Lerner Theater in Elkhart, Indiana.

Event registration is open and free to RVIA members. The event will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Interested parties can register here.

For the first time, the RSC Seminar will include a presentation from Transport Canada’s Jeremy Hamilton, the head of recalls for the Canadian agency. Although the seminar will still focus on several NHTSA-related issues, RVIA said, the event will take a broader look at regulatory concerns.

The RSC Seminar will include an industry compliance panel where attendees will have the opportunity to discuss and ask questions.

The seminar has been extended to a full day to allow for all the new programming, RVIA said. Another addition is a new session focused on Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and California Air Resources Board (CARB) regulations and their impact on the RV industry.

The day will end with a presentation by Dale Kardos of Kardos & Associates LLC. Kardos has helped motor vehicle manufacturers, suppliers and trade associations address North American regulations and legislation for 27 years.

A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.

All interested parties are invited, RVIA said, particularly those that have compliance responsibilities and those who wish to learn more about safety and recall processes. The EPA and CARB-related presentations will not begin until after 2 p.m.

Registration is open through July 20. Anyone interested in sponsoring or who has questions can email Kyle Correa-Brady at [email protected].
