The Mike Molino RV Learning Center (RVLC) is accepting 2021-2022 College Scholarship Program applications.

Applied to this school year’s tuition cost, the $2,500 award is available to undergraduates currently employed in the RV industry, an industry employee’s dependent, or an individual seeking a career in the industry after graduation.

The RVLC encourages dealers to tell employees about this year’s scholarship program. An awarding factor includes the applicant’s background employment in the RV industry or a desire to work in it after college.

The RVLC stated applicants must:

    • Have a 2.8 or better cumulative grade point average and a 1050 minimum SAT score (1575 minimum on the 2400-point scale; a minimum ACT composite score of 22 is also acceptable).
    • Be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior in an accredited four-year college or university.
    • Provide a 500-word essay on their goals and objectives for college and career.
    • Submit a copy of their Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) form.
    • Demonstrate the ability and willingness to fund a portion of their educational expenses on their own.
    • Submit a fully completed application with supporting documentation.

Holiday RV Superstores co-founders Joanne and Newt Kindlund made the scholarship possible.

“Joanne was very passionate about the importance of education in enhancing our lives,” Newt Kindlund said. “We were both extremely proud to have been able to offer this program to our RVDA members.”

This year marks the RVLC’s 30th awarded scholarship, which was designed to foster the RV industry’s next generation of leaders. The Kindlunds fully funded the $270,000 scholarship endowment. Newt Kindlund serves as director emeritus on the RVLC’s board of directors.
