For the first time, the RV industry’s political action committee participated in political contributions during the 2020 election cycle.

RVPAC, the PAC created by RVIA, raised nearly $50,000 in its first year, the associated stated. It contributed more than $16,000 to legislators supporting the RV industry.

Those included:

Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.)

Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa)

Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.)

Sen. Martin Heinrich’s (D-N.M.) LOBOPAC

Rep. Larry Bucshon (R-Ind.)

Rep. Tom Emmer (R-Minn.)

Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-Fla.)

Rep. Terri Sewell (D-Ala.)

Rep. Dina Titus (D-Nev.)

Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.)

“We could not have achieved what we did this year without the support our individual contributors and our member companies that have stepped up to give us prior approval,” RVIA stated.

RVPAC is governed by a steering committee of RV Industry Association members. The committee convenes throughout the year to determine the best opportunities for RVPAC engagement and support.

RVPAC can ask for contributions from certain RVIA member employees only after the member company has given prior written approval for the year. Prior approval may be given only by an authorized representative with whom RVIA normally conducts association business.
