The Senate passed its version of the Republican reconciliation bill Tuesday.
The Senate’s bill includes the restoration of floorplan interest deductibility for RV dealers who sell towable RVs.
RVIA said towable RVs account for 88% of all RV sales. A drafting error in the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act bill removed towable RV deductibility from the tax code.
The bill also eliminates the de minimis exemption for imports priced under $800. The exemption would be eliminated beginning July 1, 2027. The de minimis exemption originally was removed from the bill but was re-added before final passage.
The bill moves to the House, where debate was expected to begin this morning.
