Spartan RV Chassis Grows Market Share

The Shyft Group President and CEO Daryl Adams said despite the RV industry’s slowdown in late 2022, Spartan RV Chassis grew market share in 2022.

Adams said the company’s market share in the diesel chassis class, with greater than 400 horsepower, reached 33% in 2022. The share was up from 31% in 2021.

“This progress has been driven by continued investment in innovation and aftermarket parts and services and has helped offset the slower industry market conditions,” Adams said.

Adams said chassis supply stabilized after a “challenging” first half. Retail demand for Class A motorhome chassis was more stable than the broader RV market, he said. However, the slowdown led Spartan RV Chassis’ backlog to decline year-over-year, Adams said.
