The Texan RV Park and Campus is adding two general managers, Jenn and John Brown, to its facility leadership team.

The Browns will oversee daily operations, including certification career training school National RV Training Academy (NRVTA). The couple will also be tasked with maintaining the 37-acre property, which encompasses 83 RV sites and several buildings that house training equipment and supplies.

“We understand the concerns of school officials that the campus must run efficiently and that all systems need to operate properly all the time,” John Brown said. “We know what it means to be business owners and understand the challenges involved with project management.”

Originally from Idaho, the Browns have backgrounds in construction and previously owned a company that sold and installed commercial flooring. The couple also owned a Florida-based construction business specializing in residential kitchen and bath remodeling.

The Texan RV campus stated the Browns’ experience will aid in overseeing RV expansion this spring, including four additional cabins, 12 pull-through and two back-in RV sites with full hookups.

The Browns noted they adopted an RV lifestyle to maintain contact with their seven children located throughout the U.S. During their journey, the Browns said they learned about NRVTA and attended classes to become certified inspectors. The two continued education to become certified technicians with the RV Technician Association of America in February.

“I love the mission of the school,” John said. “This campus plays a crucial role for the students who attend training. The relationships they form here with instructors and other like-minded students looking to launch businesses or begin careers will help them get started on a better life.”

The Browns will oversee a team of Workampers, employees and subcontractors who help maintain the RV park and its customers. They will also supervise operations managers and construction crews tasked with expanding the park and making improvements throughout the campus.

Jenn said she enjoys the feeling of community found at the school.

“There is so much excitement here, just like there is at other schools when people are preparing for their futures,” she said. “Students come here to learn, but many times they are brand new RVers themselves and really don’t know what to do. We are privileged to help them get started the right way.

“We want to provide a campus-like experience for NRVTA students and to be a blessing to everyone who stays here,” Jenn said.

The Browns have made a one-year commitment to oversee the campus, after which they will decide to extend the contract or continue their travels in the RV lifestyle.
