Upcoming RV Technician Training Classes

Seeking to train as many RV technicians as possible, the RV Technical Institute (RVTI) is offering of free classes. Three different Level 1 classes are scheduled and seeking additional students. The upcoming dates are April 20-28, May 4-12 and June 8-17. All classes will take place at the RVTI’s training facility in Elkhart, Indiana.

The Level 1 class prepares pre-delivery technicians with skills to prep an RV for customer delivery. Students learn to operate and verify proper functioning of RV components. Level 1 certification requires instruction and written and exams.

Level 1 class lasts one week. A two-hour practical test time assigned the following week. The class is free in 2020 if you work in the RV industry and $1,000 if you do not.

RVTI also continues expansion of its hub and spoke training program. This includes the addition of Authorized Licensed Partners (ALPs). ALPs will have access to RVTI curriculum and materials and can offer the classes locally or regionally. A Train the Trainer course, available only to ALPs, will be offered in Elkhart on April 13 and June 29. Dealers interested in becoming ALPs can call (800) 664-0154.
