Monthly Wholesale RV Unit Shipments to Dealerships

The RV Industry Association (RVIA) compiles and tracks how many new RV units each RV manufacturer makes and ships to RV dealers on a monthly basis. The wholesale shipment report breaks down RV vehicles by unit category in aggregate to avoid any RV manufacturer’s specific production numbers being released.

2025 Monthly Wholesale New Unit Reports

December 2025

RVIA’s December 2025 survey of manufacturers found that wholesale RV shipments totaled 23,220 RVs, up 0.3% compared with the 23,153 RVs shipped in December 2024. The month marked the seventh in 2025 in which RVIA reported wholesale RV shipments increased year-over-year.

For the year, wholesale RV shipments totaled 342,220 RVs, up 2.5% from 2024. The total marked the second year of increased wholesale RV shipments after bottoming at 313,174 wholesale RV shipments in 2023.

RVIA President and CEO Craig Kirby said the 2025 total was in line with forecasts ITR Economics shared throughout the year. The 2024 Winter RoadSigns forecast, published in December 2024, initially projected shipments ranging from 329,900 to 362,300 RVs, with a median of 346,100 RVs. The forecast median ranged between 350,000 RVs and 337,000 RVs for the rest of the year.

“As we move into 2026, we are optimistic that this modest upward trend will continue, fueled by improving economic conditions and an incredible lineup of travel milestones perfect for RVing,” Kirby said. “Between the nationwide celebrations for America’s 250th birthday, the global excitement of the FIFA World Cup, and the 100th anniversary of Route 66, there has never been a more iconic year for travelers to experience the freedom of the open road.”

For the year, towable RVs finished up 2.5% with 306,191 shipments. Motorhomes were up 3.3% from 2024 levels with 36,029 shipments.

Towable RV shipments were down 1.9% from December 2024, totaling 20,425 shipments.

Motorhomes were up 19.5% compared with the same month last year at 2,795 units.

RVIA said the November shipment counts were revised upward by 99 RVs due to late-arriving survey responses. The revision pushed November’s wholesale RV shipments to 21,523.

November 2025

RVIA’s November 2025 survey of manufacturers found that November wholesale RV shipments were the lowest monthly total since July 2023.

The report found that manufacturers shipped 21,424 wholesale RVs in November. The total is down 9.1% from the 23,573 wholesale RVs shipped in November 2024.

Since January 2018, a period of 96 months, RVIA reported only four months with lower wholesale RV shipments than November 2025. Those months were July 2023 (20,520), January 2023 (20,405), December 2022 (19,907) and April 2020 (7,197). April 2020 was affected by the pandemic manufacturing shutdowns.

Through the first 11 months of 2025, wholesale RV shipments are 2.7% higher than the first 11 months of 2024. RVIA reported year-to-date wholesale RV shipments of 318,901 RVs.

RVIA reported towable RV wholesale shipments down 8.5% from November 2024 with 18,999 RVs. Motorhome wholesale shipments were down 13.5% in November from a year earlier, with 2,425 shipments.

October 2025

October 2025 RVIA Wholesale Shipment Report.For the fourth month in 2025, RVIA reported wholesale RV shipments were lower than in the same month in 2024.

Results for RVIA’s October 2025 survey of manufacturers found that wholesale RV shipments totaled 30,243 RVs, a 1.2% decline compared with the 30,595 shipped in October 2024.

May, July and August are the only other months this year in which wholesale RV shipments were lower than the same month in 2024.

Through the first 10 months of 2025, wholesale RV shipments are up 3.6% at 297,477 RVs compared with 287,007 at this point in 2024.

RVIA President and CEO Craig Kirby said, “This latest shipment report shows that overall, the RV industry continues to make moderate, steady gains for the year and we are on track to surpass last year’s shipment totals.”

Kirby said RVing is expected to be more popular than ever this holiday season. A recent RVIA survey showed 28 million Americans are planning to hit the road.

Towable RV wholesale shipments, led by conventional travel trailers, were down 2.6% from October 2024 at 27,055 shipments.

Motorhomes wholesale RV shipments were up 12.7% compared with October 2024, with 3,188 RVs shipped.

September 2025

For the second time in the past five months, RVIA reported wholesale RV shipments outpaced levels from the same month in 2024.

Results for RVIA’s September 2025 survey of manufacturers found that wholesale RV shipments totaled 25,684 RVs. The total is 4.4% greater than the 24,595 wholesale RVs shipped in September 2024.

The increase occurs after a decline in year-over-year shipments in July and August. After starting the year with four consecutive months of year-over-year wholesale RV shipment growth, June was the last month before September to post year-over-year growth.

To date, wholesale RV shipments are up 4.2% from the first nine months of 2024, with 267,234 wholesale RV shipments.

RVIA President and CEO Craig Kirby said, “The RV industry continues to demonstrate a steady, moderate increase in wholesale shipments…This steady demand, well into the autumn season, underscores a crucial shift: RVing is no longer confined to summer travel. Our data consistently shows that RV owners are embracing the affordability and flexibility of using their units year-round, enjoying shoulder-season camping.”

Towable RV wholesale shipments rose 2.7% from last September, with 22,878 shipments.

Motorhome wholesale RV shipments totaled 2,806, up 21.2% compared with September 2024.

August 2025

The 2025 RVIA Shipment Report through August 2025.Results for RVIA’s August 2025 survey of manufacturers found that total RV shipments ended the month with 28,212 units, a 3.1% decrease compared to the 29,105 units shipped in August 2024. To date, RV shipments are up 4.2% at 241,550 units.

Towable RVs, led by conventional travel trailers, ended the month down 4.6% from last August with 25,030 shipments. Motorhomes finished the month up 11.3% compared to the same month last year with 3,182 units.

July 2025

Results for RVIA’s July 2025 survey of manufacturers found that total RV shipments ended the month with 22,633 RVs shipped. The total is down 6.1% compared with the 24,116 RVs shipped in July 2024. To date, RV shipments are up 5.2% with 213,338 total.

RVIA President & CEO Craig Kirby said, “This summer, 44 million Americans are prioritizing time outdoors with family and friends as they make RVing their vacation of choice. And our latest research shows RVing will remain popular as we head into fall, with affordability topping the list of reasons people plan to go on an RV adventure.”

Towable RVs ended the month down 8.7% from last July with 19,686 shipments. Motorhomes finished the month up 15.3% compared with the same month last year with 2,947 shipments.

June 2025

Results for the RVIA’s June 2025 survey of manufacturers found that total wholesale RV shipments ended the month with 29,332 RVs, a 15.9% growth rate compared with the 25,308 RVs shipped in June 2024.

To date, wholesale RV shipments are up 6.8% from the first six months of 2024 with 190,705 RVs.

Towable RVs, led by conventional travel trailers, ended the month up 15.3% from June 2024 with 26,532 wholesale RV shipments. Motorhomes finished the month up 22.4% compared with the same month last year with 2,800 RVs.

May 2025

Results from RVIA’s May 2025 survey of manufacturers found the industry totaled 28,150 wholesale RV shipments in the month.

The shipment total is down 15.1% from the 33,150 wholesale RVs shipped in May 2024. The dip from 2024 levels breaks a streak of five consecutive months with wholesale RV shipments above the previous year’s levels.

The shipment slowdown occurred in the final month before summer.RVIA President and CEO Craig Kirby said, “This summer, more than 44 million Americans plan to go RVing, with nearly 7 million hitting the road to celebrate the upcoming Independence Day holiday.”

Kirby said the industry continues navigating uncertain economic conditions. He said a recent Go RVing study showing 16.9 million American households intend to buy an RV was a positive sign.

“These potential customers are younger and more diverse than ever before,” he said, “showcasing the wide and enduring appeal of RVing.”

Wholesale RV shipments are up 5.3% through the first five months of 2025, with 161,373 wholesale RV shipments, compared with the first five months of 2024.

Towable wholesale RV shipments were down 17.2% from May 2024. Motorhome wholesale shipments were up 6.1% compared with May 2024.

April 2025

For the fifth consecutive month, RVIA reported wholesale RV shipments increased from the same month a year earlier.

RVIA’s April 2025 survey of manufacturers found the industry shipped 35,375 RVs, up 3.4% from the 34,197 RVs shipped in April 2024.

Through the first four months of 2025, wholesale RV shipments are up 10.9% from the first four months of 2024.

Towable RVs, led by conventional travel trailers, ended the month up 4.2% from April 2024 with 31,982 wholesale shipments.

Motorhomes finished the month down (-3.4%) compared with the same month last year with 3,393 wholesale shipments.

March 2025

March 2025 RVIA Total Monthly Wholesale RV Shipments Graph.

According to RVIA’s survey of manufacturers, wholesale RV shipments are up nearly 14% in the first quarter.

The survey found March 2025 RV shipments are up 13.9% with 97,848 units.

The total RV shipments ended the month with 37,348 units, an increase of 15.8% compared to the 32,243 units shipped in March 2024.

RVIA President and CEO Craig Kirby said an estimated 72 million Americans are planning RV trips this summer.

“While we are keeping a close eye on consumer confidence and potential tariff effects, one thing remains clear: even in times of economic uncertainty, Americans turn to travel and the outdoors,” Kirby said. “The RV lifestyle has enduring appeal offering freedom, flexibility and memorable adventures on the open road.”

Towable RVs ended the month up 17.1% from last March with 33,982 shipments. Motorhomes finished the month up 4.4% compared to the same month last year with 3,366 units.

February 2025

Wholesale RV shipments for February were up 6% compared to this time last year.

RVIA’s survey of manufacturers found that February 2025 RV shipments were up 12.7% with 60,500 units.

The total RV shipments ended the month with 32,871 units compared to the 31,024 units shipped in February 2024.

RVIA President and CEO Craig Kirby advises cautious optimism due to modest growth and potential economic challenges.

“While the industry has seen modest shipment growth this year, it is essential to remain cautiously optimistic,” Kirby said. “The market is showing signs of recovery, but we must stay mindful of potential economic headwinds and the need for sustained consumer confidence.”

Towable RVs were up 9.9% from last February with 29,642 shipments. Motorhomes were down (-20.1%) compared to the same month last year with 3,229 units.

January 2025

Wholesale RV shipments began 2025 strongly, according to RVIA’s January survey of manufacturers.

The survey found January 2025 wholesale RV shipments were 21.9% over January 2024 levels. Towable RV shipments were up 27.6% from January 2024.

RVIA President and CEO Craig Kirby said the results reflected the continued, steady growth RVIA anticipates for the year.

“While we remain cautiously optimistic,” Kirby said, “these early indicators are encouraging and suggest the enduring appeal of the RV lifestyle. We look forward to building on this momentum throughout the year, delivering innovative products to consumers that reveal the incredible destinations and memorable experiences that are just beyond your door in an RV.”

Wholesale RV shipments totaled 27,629 in January. Towable RV shipments totaled 24,906. Motorized RV shipments totaled 2,723, down 13.6% from January 2024.
