RV Industry Associations

The RV industry has an assortment of national and state associations of business leaders to help the $60 billion a year industry tackle a whole host of issues including government regulations, employee recruitment and education, national consumer marketing, vehicle and product safety standards and national/state wholesale and consumer sales data.

The RV Industry Association is an association of RV manufacturers, original equipment and aftermarket suppliers, RV distributors and manufactured rep agencies. With offices in Reston, VA and Elkhart, IN, the RV Industry Association is the leading trade voice of the $114 billion dollar RV industry, representing approximately 400 manufacturers and component and aftermarket suppliers who together produce 98 percent of all RVs made in the United States, and approximately 60 percent of RVs produced worldwide. The association works with federal and state lawmakers and regulators to pursue a favorable business environment for its members, is the leading source of research, data, and analysis about the RV industry, and seeks to grow and expand the RV consumer market while cultivating a positive experience for current RVers. The association also maintains an inspection program that audits the compliance of RV manufacturers to plumbing, heating, fire and life safety, and electrical systems codes and provides an ongoing Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards education program for its members, as well as training clinics for RV service technicians.
RVDA, The National RV Dealers Association, is the only national association dedicated to advancing the RV retailer’s interests through education, member services, industry leadership, and market expansion programs that promote the increased sale and use of RVs and that enhance the positive image of the RV experience. RVDA is at the forefront of dealer-manufacturer issues, state and federal legislation that affects RV retailers, the national Go RVing advertising campaign, and educational programs covering all aspects of dealer operations.
The RVDA of Canada is a national federation which exists to protect and promote the interests and welfare of RV Dealers across Canada in order to enable the industry to maximize its potential. The core objective of the RVDA of Canada is to bring together and represent the retail businesses involved in the recreation vehicle industry across Canada, thus providing the support and strength to protect and promote the interests and welfare of Canadian RV Dealers, and to maximize the potential of the industry for all involved.he RVDA of Canada is here to assist in the improvement of all involved in the recreation vehicle industry. Any programs, activities or government lobbying that the association may become involved in are introduced and developed by its members, for its members. Involvement is encouraged from all members.
