Reed Brothers Insurance (RBI) has been an independent agency since 1912. The company started in the manufactured home and powersport business, offering services for commercial property, casualty and single-point insurance. RBI expanded these offerings to RV owners in the 1990s.
In 2008, Brown & Brown, Inc., the fifth largest independent insurance brokerage in the U.S., acquired RBI. Reed Brothers Insurance now deals in the automotive industry with new and used car dealers, plus marine and powersports markets. But its biggest presence is in the RV industry.
