Biography
Working at the company her father founded, Vanessa Zaroor Hargrave is most proud that Advantage PressurePro has become a global brand. The TPMS supplier sells to 42 companies and has distributors around the world while maintaining roots in a family-owned business.
Inside a Harrisonville, Missouri, office space in a historically renovated house, Hargrave works with nine other full-time employees, five of whom she is related to. Her mother Rhita is Advantage PressurePro’s majority owner and board president, and her brother Jason serves as company president and CEO.
“You call in, and you get someone who heads a whole department, a decision maker,” Hargrave said of the family business. “We lead the market on a global scale, while maintaining a low profile.”
While Jason leads business development and relationships at Advantage PressurePro, Hargrave makes those deals happen. After 17 years working at the family company, Hargrave does everything from reading contracts and signing agreements to handling marketing and overall business strategy.
Hargrave graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2005 with a bachelor’s in business administration. She started at Advantage PressurePro in 2004 as director of marketing and, in 2016, added the title COO.
Hargrave is the sole owner and photographer at Shutters Photography since 2007. She loves to hunt, watch Chiefs games and go camping and boating with her husband and son. Hargrave co-chairs her town’s Just4Me summer food assistance program and is advisory board member for Bright Futures Harrisonville, an organization helping children succeed.
