RV manufacturer Jayco launched its new patent-pending JayPort system on the company’s select towables.
Many Jayco towables come with an exclusive 17-inch or 22-inch Blackstone griddle, the company stated. The griddle will affix to the JayPort and connect via LP quick connect on the RV’s door side, Jayco stated, which will provide outdoor cooking and cleaning without setting up a table or external gas bottles.
The JayPort offering is separate from a unit’s outdoor kitchen, providing a space to connect an arm on which the Blackstone griddle will sit.
“The Blackstone griddle has exploded on the camping scene,” Jayco Director of Product Development Matt Fisher said. “We worked extensively with Blackstone on a way to be able to offer their griddles in our campers in a way that is unique and functional for our customers.”
In conjunction with the JayPort launch, the company will debut a cooking video series that uses the Blackstone griddles, called “Jayco’s Cooking with Kari.” The segment will feature chef Kari Karch, the former executive chef for Kenmore Appliances who has made appearances on the Travel Channel, Lifetime Network and the Cooking Channel.
