Airstream Unveils New Flying Cloud Interior Designs for 2021

New for model year 2021, Airstream has redesigned its Flying Cloud model line interior décor offerings, along with a redesign of its International model interiors.

While still focused on a neutral color palette that’s familiar to Flying Cloud users, Airstream said its all-new Sunlit Maple décor is “a step towards modernizing our most popular and family-friendly travel trailer.”

“Inspired by a sense of soaring high above the clouds and seeing the sun’s rays cast themselves across the land, Sunlit Maple gives the feeling of being in an open, light and airy space that is comfortable and premium,” the company announced.

Airstream reintroduced the Flying Cloud brand name in 2009 and has since offered its most extensive set of floor plans for the model of any other Airstream brand. From the 23CB all the way to the 30FB Bunk, the company said its Flying Cloud is built to be comfortable and to humbly supply all the amenities a family needs.

All models feature a handcrafted entry door, kitchen, bathroom, shower and sleeping arrangements. The QuietStream ducted climate control system, a 1000W power inverter, solar panels and batteries combine with storage spaces and pre-wired internet connectivity to round out the major offerings of the Flying Cloud.

All 2021 Flying Cloud models come standard with the Sunlit Maple interior décor and give owners the option to decide between two different colors of Ultraleather. They may choose between Sunlit Maple with Seattle Mist Ultraleather or Sunlit Maple with Carolina Clay Ultraleather.

Regardless of the selected Ultraleather color, the rest of the interior remains the same and is available on the 23CB, 23CB Bunk, 23FB, 25RB, 25FB, 27FB, 28RB, 30RB, and 30FB Bunk floor plans.

New features added for 2021 include:

  • Refreshed Sunlit Maple decor, as well as updated fabrics (bedding, pillows, curtains), new Corian® countertops, flooring, fixtures, and cabinet/drawer handles
  • Two brand new Ultraleather® options, which is an upgrade from the UltraFabrics® Dwell material previously used. Airstream offers Sunlit Maple with Carolina Clay which is the lighter option of Ultraleather® or Sunlit Maple with Seattle Mist which is the darker material
  • Updated overhead storage cabinet design that is now a cream colored, glossy reflective surface versus wood grain featured in previous models
  • First introduced in the Classic and now offered in the Flying Cloud are soft-close cabinet hinges
  • Blackout curtains replace all roller blinds in the bedrooms, ideal for blocking all light out regardless of day or night
  • Upgraded residential faucet in the kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen faucet is a premium Delta pull-down style, making it easier to wash dishes and keep the sink looking great
  • Updated square sink design across the Flying Cloud model lineup that replaces the circle sinks. In floor plans where the sink comes out from the counter (23CB, 25FB, 27FB), we now have a square floating galley that offers more storage options, a place to put your feet while standing at the sink, and a 6-inch deep stainless steel sink that is flush with the countertop
  • The handcrafted aluminum rear hatch with a screen is now available as an option on the 25FB in addition to the 27FB
