ADCO Offers May Virtual Compliance Seminar

The Association of Dealership Compliance Officers (ADCO) will hold a virtual Dealership Compliance Officer Professional (DCOP) Essentials seminar at 10 a.m. May 17-19.

Automotive, compliance, legal and F&I leaders will instruct participants on establishing and managing a compliance management system (CMS).

The seminar curriculum will cover these topics:

  • Dealership compliance officer responsibilities
  • How to establish a CMS
  • The seven elements of an effective compliance management program
  • Federal regulations impacting a dealership
  • Leadership skills
  • An OSHA parts and service module with EHS certification
  • Strategies for using compliance to minimize chargebacks
  • Information compliance officers and IT professionals need to comply with the revised Safeguards Rule

During the seminar, participants will receive templates for implementing the Safeguards Rule, a dealership security program and a Red Flags Rule identity theft prevention program.

At the seminar’s end, participants can opt to take the DCOP Certification examination. ADCO offers CLE, CPE and SHRM continuing education credits.

Registration includes a five-to-six-hour seminar for three days. Breaks will be given each day. Registration is $650 for ADCO members and $950 for non-members.
