The 2023 RV Aftermarket Conference opened its first full day with numerous meetings and the awarding of its annual awards.

Over 100 companies, including over 70 suppliers, set up shop at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina in San Diego to discuss new products.

At lunch Tuesday, the annual RV Aftermarkets Awards were presented.

Atlas Trailer Coach Products General Manager Art Tischer was awarded the highest honor, the Jim Barker Lifetime Achievement Award.

Tischer became the 13th recipient of the award, given to one individual each year who contributed specifically to the RV aftermarket throughout their career and/or lifetime and embraced a spirit of service to the industry.

Atlas Trailer Coach was founded in 1970 and is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

MORryde’s Safe-T-Rail took home the Product of the Year award for its Safe-T-Rail. The handrail extension provides 4.5 feet of continuous rail surface to help consumers enter and exit towable RVs.

The telescoping handrail uses a heavy-duty magnet and pin to store flat against the RV when not used. The rail pulls out from the RV and matches the steps’ angle.

Walex Products was named the Supplier of the Year. RV and Marine Sales Manager Tony Butler accepted the award.

Arrow Distributing was named the Distributor of the Year and Tom Manning and Associates was named the Rep Group of the Year.
