An Ohio-based supplier to the RV industry is under new leadership.

Struthers, Ohio-based Astro Shapes creates extrusions in 14,000 shapes and sizes for RVs and other industries. The company’s private-equity owner, Wynnchurch Capital, L.P., named Carol Jackson as the supplier’s new CEO.

Jackson was named interim CEO in September.

Jackson previously served as president, chairman and CEO of HarbisonWalker International for the past decade. HarbisonWalker supplies refractory products and services.

Wynnchurch Capital Managing Director Carl Howe said the company was excited to welcome Jackson to the role.

“Her leadership experience and strategic insight make her uniquely qualified to guide Astro Shapes,” Howe said, “as we continue to execute our growth initiatives and build upon the company’s strong legacy of quality and customer commitment.”

Jackson’s previous work history included executive roles at Carpenter Technology Corp. and PPG Industries.

She currently serves on the board of directors at AZZ Inc. and Sensient Technologies Corp.

Wynnchurch Capital bought Astro Shapes in January. Previously, the 54-year-old firm was owned by Monomoy Capital Partners.
