Blue Compass RV has appointed Brian Feldman as senior vice president for sales operations. He will report directly to Blue Compass CEO and President Jon Ferrando.
The appointment is among several recent changes to the dealer chain’s leadership team.
Chris Johnson was named vice president of used RV sales. Blue Compass RV said the changes are designed to accelerate growth, sharpen execution and elevate customer experience.
Ferrando said the appointments reflect the company’s commitment to building a talented leadership team capable of building on Blue Compass’ double-digit RV sales growth in 2025.
“Brian Feldman and Chris Johnson are new executives that bring tremendous retail experience,” Ferrando said, “that, combined with the proven leadership of our internal promotions announced today, strengthens every aspect of our business to drive superior execution and growth in 2026.”
Feldman will lead technology, marketing, inventory and RV sales operations for Blue Compass. Feldman has over 20 years of automotive retail experience, including deep expertise across retail technology, marketing, new and used sales operations, e-commerce, inventory, pricing and customer experience.
Most recently, Feldman served as chief operating officer of AutoCanada, a $6 billion auto retailer with 64 dealerships in the U.S. and Canada. Before that, he spent nearly 20 years with AutoNation. Feldman and Ferrando worked simultaneously at AutoNation for 14 years before Ferrando left to start Blue Compass.
Johnson will lead the company’s used RV sales strategy and execution with a focus on inventory, sales performance, pricing discipline, process and results. Johnson will report to Feldman.
Johnson has 12 years of RV industry experience. Blue Compass said Johnson’s data-driven focus and leadership will play a critical role in unlocking additional growth and profitability in the used business while contributing to new and used inventory merchandising, pricing and transport logistics.
Motor Home Specialist Moves
Elisha Bendele has been named president of Motor Home Specialist. Bendele took over leadership of MHS from Donny O’Banion last year.
O’Banion launched Motor Home Specialist with his father, Doug O’Banion, in 1996. When Blue Compass acquired the company in 2018—the first acquisition the dealer chain made—Doug O’Banion retired and Donny O’Banion remained as CEO. In the years since, Motor Home Specialist has annually sold more motorhomes than any single-store dealership in the U.S., according to Statistical Surveys Inc.
Donny O’Banion was among five senior leaders who took the former RV Retailer from its founding to over 100 locations nationwide. All five regional presidents—Larry Hall, Jim Humble, Brad Leach, Don Strollo and O’Banion—have now retired from Blue Compass.
Bendele led the transition from Donny O’Banion while implementing key operational improvements to drive continued success and growth at MHS.
He also led the expansion of the MHS footprint with the August 2025 opening of Motor Home Specialist of Alabama. Bendele has served Blue Compass RV in marketing and sales, along with key leadership roles as general manager and market leader across multiple dealerships.
Nolan O’Bannon has been named Motor Home Specialist general manager. O’Bannon has a history in motorized sales. Most recently, he served as MHS’ general sales manager since September 2024.
Additional Changes
Dominic Caputo has been promoted to vice president of inventory management. Caputo was named director of inventory management in January 2025. Blue Compass RV said Caputo has been instrumental in strengthening the company’s new RV inventory processes and deepening OEM relationships.
He will continue to lead the new RV inventory management team to optimize stock levels and product mix.
Peter Beckingham has been promoted to senior regional F&I director. Beckingham has nearly six years of Blue Compass RV experience. The company said Beckingham has consistently delivered strong results and process execution in various F&I leadership roles. He has supported the performance of RV Complete products and finance options.
In Beckingham’s new role, he will support F&I performance across the North and Southeast regions while partnering closely with Vice President of F&I Kurt Hornung.
