Montana-based Bretz RV & Marine has acquired family-owned Kroubetz Lakeside Campers in Lake Crystal, Minnesota.
The dealership is Bretz RV & Marine’s first Minnesota store. The dealer chain has eight locations in Idaho, Montana and Washington state.
Jesse Stopnitzky of Performance Brokerage Services facilitated the acquisition.
Kimberly Kroubetz started Kroubetz Lakeside Campers in 2000 on one small lot with 12 RVs and three employees. The dealership added Forest River products in 2004, expanded on-site service operations in 2005, and joined the Route 66 RV Network in 2007.
Bretz RV & Marine is a Priority RV Network member.
Kroubetz Lakeside Campers added brands including Grand Design and Alliance. In late 2021, the company acquired a 17-acre property along Highway 60 to support long-term growth, with a new facility that opened in April 2024. The expanded campus features six double-deep service bays, a modern sales office, wash and detail bays, cold-storage buildings and an outdoor camper campground showroom with electrical hookups.
Performance Brokerage Services said Kroubetz looks forward to spending more time with family as she enters retirement. The brokerage company said Kroubetz was proud to sell her family-owned business to another family-owned RV dealer who shares her values and community commitment.
Stopnitzky said there were plenty of twists and turns in the process, but the result was favorable for both companies.

Kroubetz said she was grateful for Performance Brokerage Services’ work on the dealership sale.

Bretz RV & Marine was founded in 1967 by Frank and Vi Bretz in Missoula, Montana.
Kroubetz Lakeside Campers will be renamed Bretz RV & Marine and remain at its current location.
