Campers Inn RV promoted two employees to key corporate staff positions.

Campers Inn said the employees will support the dealership’s growth strategy. Campers Inn is looking to add more locations in the Western region of the U.S.

Richard Chynoweth, Jr., formerly the internet sales department manager, is now director of strategic initiatives for Campers Inn RV. Randy Goodwin, formerly the general manager for the Macon, Georgia, location is now general manager trainer.

“The best part of our expansion strategy is being able to offer more opportunities for our employees to grow their careers,” said Jeff Hirsch, president and CEO of Campers Inn. “We are focused now more than ever on providing continuous support to our customers at home and on the road while becoming the RVer’s trusted resource for all RVers across the U.S.”

In his new role, Chynoweth will oversee various areas of business development in sales and RV buying. Chynoweth will ensure the dealerships are able to stay agile and successful as the company continues to expand, the company said.

As the general manager trainer, Goodwin will support new stores during the onboarding process and help management teams learn Campers Inn RV’s processes in sales, service, parts and customer service.

Since last year, Campers Inn RV added four Midwest locations a total of 30 locations nationwide and six in the Midwest.

“We are now well -positioned for growth westward,” said Ben Hirsch, chief operating officer of Campers Inn. “With Ricky and Randy, as well as the entire leadership team we have put together, we are ready to grow in the Pacific and Mountain West. With these new corporate positions, we will be able to better support new dealership locations as we onboard them, while continuing to ensure the success and satisfaction of our existing dealerships.”

Combined Chynoweth and Goodwin have over 30 years of RV industry experience.

Chynoweth started his career with Campers Inn RV in 2006 in finance and became the general manager of the Leesburg, Florida, location in 2013. Since then, he worked in various areas including Southeast regional director in 2016 before taking a corporate position as internet sales manager in 2020.

Goodwin has 20 years of experience in the RV business and over 14 years at Campers Inn RV. He served as sales and finance manager in Macon before becoming general manager for several years before taking on the general manager trainer role.
