Camping World Holdings, Inc. will roll out consignment-exclusive retail stores nationwide and integrate best practices into the dealership group’s existing locations with consignment sales.

The moves come after Camping World agreed to purchase RV Arizona Consignment Specialists in El Mirage, Arizona. The deal is scheduled to close in the fourth quarter.

Marty Holman, who has more than 25 years of experience in the RV industry, leads the standalone consignment store. Holman will remain with Camping World after the acquisition and lead the company’s plan to boost consignment sales.

Marcus Lemonis, Camping World chairman and CEO, said: “Marty Holman and the RV Arizona team have built an industry-leading process around RV consignments. We expect to leverage these skills to supercharge our existing consignment business, improve returns on our used RV inventory, and further grow our used RV business towards the previously stated $3 billion annual goal.”

Camping World said consignment sales will enhance the company’s sales growth plans. In the three years from June 30, 2020, to June 30, 2023, Camping World said the company more than doubled its used RV sales to just under $2 billion on a trailing 12-months basis

“Growing our used RV business is one of our top revenue objectives,” Lemonis said, “and any time we can increase inventory turns while reducing working capital, we believe it is win-win for our shareholders.”
