Vixen Composites’ composite slide out subflooring will be featured on all floorplans by Cedar Creek RV.

“We’ve long prioritized our OEM partners, working together on multiple fronts to customize our leading-edge composite panels and FRP to best elevate their builds,” said Marc Brunner, general manager. “We are excited to expand our relationship with Cedar Creek to now include supplying the custom slide out flooring for their fifth wheels and destination trailers.”

Vixen Composites created custom composite slide out panels for Cedar Creek RV featuring patented lightweight, single piece, seamless design with a beveled edge. The composite panels were designed to endure movement and water exposure.

The slide out panels are used for both flush and non-flush side applications.

The panels offer weight savings compared to wood products for more cargo carrying capacity, better fuel efficiency, and easier towability, Vixen Composites said.

Vixen’s slide out composite panels are made in the U.S. at Vixen’s Elkhart, Indiana facility.

“Being centrally located to our OEM partners in Indiana allows Vixen to prioritize those relationships and ensure product availability without international supply chain worry,” Brunner said.

Cedar Creek chose to partner with Vixen based on the company’s reliability as a supplier for Cedar Creek’s marine division.

“Cedar Creek has always been at the forefront of innovation and making the move to a composite slide floor is another example of leading the pack,” Curtis Gunter, Forest River general manager, Sierra/Sandpiper, Cedar Creek & Riverstone luxury Fifth-Wheel said, “We feel the new composite slide floors will give Cedar Creek a distinct advantage over our competition. We are very pleased with the transition and our dealer partner and end users will be the beneficiary of the new slide floors.”

Vixen Composites is a fiberglass reinforced plastic supplier and a custom composite panels manufacturer. Located in Elkhart, Indiana, Vixen Composites has been part of the Airxcel family of brands since 2016.
