Coachmen RV will introduce the RVEX, an all-electric Type B motorhome, this week during Elkhart Extravaganza.
The RVEX is Coachmen’s entry into the all-electric motorhome market. Coachmen said the RVEX is engineered to cover an estimated range of 270 miles on a single charge.
The motorhome has a target MSRP of $150,000.
Among the RVEX’s features are power sofas that transition into a king-sized bed. A separate lithium battery power system and 1,000-watt roof-mounted solar array charge appliances and electrical devices in the RV.
At the rear, a large tailgate opens to load gear and bikes. The RVEX features an aerodynamic exterior and aftermarket rims.
Coachmen RV General Manager Zach Eppers said, “The RVEX represents a bold first step in Coachmen’s journey into electric vehicle technology, and we are bringing our A-Game to the B van category.”
Coachmen partnered with Genesis Products to incorporate lightweight materials such as G-Strong, a PET foam core replacement for OSB, in the ceiling, floor and walls. Coachmen said the motorhome’s cabinets are constructed with exclusive G-Lite plywood and Lisocore, a panel with a corrugated wood core. The materials save 47% of the cabinets’ weight compared with traditional plywood.
“We set out to create an all-electric motorhome that is not only innovative and capable, but also attainable,” Eppers said. “It delivers exceptional range and cutting-edge features all at a price point that makes EV travel accessible to more people than ever before.”
After making its debut this week, RVEX production is slated to begin in 2026.
