Keller Marine and RV’s aftermarket show, scheduled to take place Dec. 15/16, will be held at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. In a letter from the publisher, RV News previously said the show would be held in Port Trevorton, Pennsylvania.
In light of all the uncertainty surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic, Keller Marine and RV has several contingency plans in place regarding the show’s format. The first is that the two-day event will go on as usual, with dealers showing up as their schedules allow during the course of the show. The second option would include limiting the number of people in attendance each day in an effort to keep people socially distanced, and the wholesale distributor would invite its dealer partners to make appointments to attend the show. A third option would be to conduct the show virtually.
Lori Morrow, director of marketing at Keller RV and Marine, said with the event almost four months away, they company has plenty of time to determine which format the show will take place. Morrow said a similar event that took place remotely in June went well.
“The platform has already been used and was very been successful. We feel confident we can go in any direction we need to have a successful show,” Morrow said.
In 2019, the show hosted 160-170 vendors, with more than 150 vendors in attendance, according to Morrow. She said the company’s first choice is to hold an in-person event.
“It’s always good to get customers together. They feed off each other and learn from each other,” Morrow said. “Our customers are saying they want a face-to-face show.”
More details will be available as the Keller Marine and RV Show gets closer.
