Cummins Appoints Several Leadership Roles

Cummins announced several leaders appointed to new key roles within the company, effective March 1.

The company stated the hires are consistent with Cummins’ leadership development approach and succession planning to ensure the business’ continued growth and success.

“The world is rapidly changing and we need strong leaders who excel at both strategy and execution to ensure our company, employees and communities continue to thrive,” company Chairman and CEO Tom Linebarger said. “I am confident this group of leaders will help successfully guide us. Their experiences, unique skills and consistent demonstration of our core values and leadership culture make each of them well-suited to contribute significantly to the future of our company.”

Appointed leadership positions are:

Vice President and President, Components Segment – Mahesh Narang

Narang brings significant experience to this position, Cummins stated, having led two component business units within the company – Cummins Emissions Solutions and Turbo Technologies. He has worked almost 20 years in global roles. As a Components Segment leadership team member since 2015, Cummins stated Narang has been integral to its success by focusing on future growth opportunities.

Vice President, Emission Solutions – Cary Chenanda

Chenanda has worked at Cummins more than 20 years with experience in the Components Segment, the company stated, along with leading global business and developing talent. Chenanda previously established and led Cummins Electronics, and in 2017, oversaw the Cummins Electronics and Cummins Fuel System Businesses unification into one combined business.

Vice President, Electronics and Fuel Systems – Marina Savelli

Savelli has been with Cummins 27 years, working in many company roles. She is known as a terrific leader, Cummins stated, as she has gained a deep and broad understanding of the company’s employees, customers and business. Savelli held various global finance and business leadership roles in Cummins Filtration and roles in purchasing, as well as the off-highway business in Cummins Emissions Solutions, and led the Global Market Insights Group.

Vice President, Human Resources – Mark Osowick

Osowick has worked with Cummins almost 25 years and has led human resources operations since 2014. Cummins stated Osowick has consistently demonstrated commitment to the company and its employees, and he has been engaged in some of the most significant changes Cummins has made, including restructures, acquisitions and growth repositioning.

Vice President, Human Resources Operations – John Brockhaus

Brockhaus has been in the HR organization since joining Cummins in 1997. He has been involved in initiatives focused on enabling employees to achieve their full potential, the company stated, and how employees experience working at Cummins.

Vice President, Business Transformation – Cathy Buening-Griffin

Buening-Griffin has been with Cummins 30 years. She has a history of solving complex problems with experience across different businesses and functions, Cummins stated, including working across global boundaries. Buening-Griffin most recently served as vice president of program leadership and a Components leadership team member.
