Derema Group hired Jason Mendes as a dealer specialist on the company’s West Coast sales team serving Southern California. Mendes began the role July 1.
Mendes has over 20 years’ experience in the outdoor industry, Derema Group said, owning a retail shop in the past. He will provide greater focus for the company’s marine and RV dealerships, said Derema Group President Kurt Forsman.
“Jason has a strong work ethic, incredible drive and is excited to work with the Derema team,” Forsman said. “Jason brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and passion for the outdoors to Derema Group and we cannot wait to see how he will strengthen the West Coast.”
Mendes will be based out of Carlsbad, California.
He grew up on the Colorado River and learned to water ski at a young age. His watersports background led to a job as a factory sales rep with Liquid Force wakeboards and eventually sales manager for Ronix wakeboards and Radar waterskis.
