Statistical Surveys Inc., a retail registration data provider for the RV market, listed Aliner as the best-selling folding trailer in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Since 1984, Aliner, a travel trailer manufacturer, built A-frame and teardrop trailers. The company is owned and operated by husband-and-wife duo, CEO Brett Randall and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Jana Randall. The Randalls believe Aliner’s approach to the simple RVing lifestyle, unique and lightweight product design and a customer-centric business model contribute to Aliner’s success.

Jana Randall said Aliner promotes a simple, down-to-earth camping experience that other RVs might not provide. By featuring many home amenities while simplifying the camping experience, Aliner can reach a niche consumer base.

Jana Randall said, “From my perspective, the evolution of our product to reach the new lifestyle of consumers is really thriving and driving our market base.”

Some Aliner models offer an indoor or outdoor shower, sleeping space for up to four people, an indoor cassette toilet, EcoFlow battery systems, solar panels and other home amenities.

“One of the things that our customers enjoy most is the lifestyle an Aliner can provide,” Jana Randall said. “We have a ton of amenities so you can really take your home on the road.”

Brett Randall said Aliner’s unique product design enables the travel trailers to be lightweight, small and easily towable. Aliner’s most popular product line is the A-frame pop-up trailer, which has 16 floorplans and three sizes. The most popular model is the Aliner Evolution, which features four models ranging from 15 to 18 feet and with a 3,000- to 3,500-pound GVWR.

“I think the high-quality design, combined with the fact it is lightweight and towable, makes us stand out,” Brett Randall said. “We have models under 1,200 pounds all the way up to about 2,500. The garageability factor is very popular for the folks that live in an HOA where they are not allowed to park their RV in their driveway.”

Aliner has a customer-centric and team member-centric business model, setting the company apart from other manufacturers. The company sells to 85 dealers in North America and five in Europe while having a loyal following. By keeping a small dealer base, Aliner can provide a close-knit relationship with dealers.

“When someone reaches out to us with a question or an issue, we personally answer all the emails, all the DMs and all the text messages,” Jana Randall said. “You are talking to either myself, Brett or a director of sales one-on-one directly. That personal touch adds an element to our business model that other manufacturers cannot provide.”
