Blue Ox sold more than 1,000 packages of a new product since the supplier began sending bundled blue bags across the nation in December.
Blue Ox’s first Camper Leveler displays an intentional design and comes as a packaged deal.
Blue Ox Director of Sales Alex Walker said while many levelers feature a smooth surface, Blue Ox opted for a snap-together design to provide security. The design locks the leveler and its wedge component into place, similar to a Lego.
As weight is pressed onto a traditional leveler’s smooth surface, the leveler can slide apart from the wedge incorporated into the system. This often changes the RV’s desired height.
“The snap-together design does not allow that wedge piece to slide out from underneath,” Walker said. “It gives the customer the adjustability and the security to make sure that when they get it to the appropriate height, it is going to stay in place.”
When the consumer buys a Blue Ox leveler package they obtain two levelers, two rubber mats and a Blue Ox bag to store and carry the supplies.
“It gives them the ability to have everything they need,” Walker said, “in one bag.”
Walker said the product can be displayed in multiple areas in dealerships from center runs to end caps to hitch areas. Product plan-o-grams will be available in the future.
