Shawn Moran is a leader often found helping his teammates.

Moran expanded his mentorship to more team members in his new role. Effective Jan. 1, Moran was named Brown & Brown Dealer Services’ (BBDS) president of RV F&I.

Moran said, “One of the things that I have believed since the day I walked in the door at Brown & Brown is that if somebody needs help, you help.”

Since 2013, Moran has led F&I training in recreational product categories including RV, powersports and boats. He led the wholesale division and pioneered the company’s direct writing program. After initiating direct writing, he trained others in the program.

Moran continues to oversee all his former responsibilities even as he takes on new ones. As president, Moran will be management decisions and facilitate numerous team conversations. Moran said Brown & Brown values the “power of we.”

“We collectively like to work in organizational situations where we get a voice from everybody at some point in time,” Moran said, “and put that together and then come up with the best ideas and ultimately move forward with a team approach.”

Moran’s new role includes additional financial and budgeting responsibilities.

Moran will report to BBDS President Mike Neal. Moran’s counterparts in the automotive and wholesale divisions have been installed as presidents in their departments under Neal. Moran said that although there around 20 people work in the company’s RV department, he collaborates with over 200 people in all BBDS departments.

Moran said he is grateful for the promotion and looks forward to working with more teammates.

“I want to thank my mentors and our team for this chance to promote the ‘power of we’ further in the recreational industry,” Moran said, “and bring Brown & Brown’s training and programs to more customers and friends.”
