EXCLUSIVE: Brown & Brown Introduces Video Training Platform

Brown & Brown released details on a new video training platform during its annual F&I school last weekend.

The 365 environment training platform will host training videos, accessible by any and all dealer employees, at no cost to Brown & Brown customers.

“This is a great new way to train new F&I managers,” Brown & Brown Director of RV F&I Training Shawn Moran said. “The fastest way to disseminate information to a dealership is through an email that everyone is able to see and then visit and watch that video on their own time.”

The platform functions much like a YouTube page. Each individual has a page of their own. Individuals can subscribe to other channels, which push training and other videos whenever an update is uploaded.

Dealer principals can set up a channel housing company-wide training videos and assign employees to subscribe to the channel. Tracking and reporting on the platform enable managers to track when employees have viewed the videos.

Brown & Brown’s John Tabar said the platform can be used to help train new employees during onboarding. Training videos also can provide continuing education in a self-directed manner employees can access any time.

Tabar said Brown & Brown is seeking input on the training videos matching dealers’ needs. He said the company is not looking to create off-the-shelf training but to customize training videos to each dealers’ needs.
